Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals

Based in Austin, Texas, HFTP is the professional association for financial and technology personnel working in hotels, resorts, clubs, casinos, restaurants and other hospitality-related businesses. The association provides continuing education and networking opportunities to more than 4,000 members around the world, and produces the premiere hospitality technology shows HITEC and ONHTEC. HFTP also administers the examination and awards the certification for the Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive (CHAE) and the Certified Hospitality Technology Professional (CHTP) designations. HFTP was founded in 1952 as the National Association of Hotel Accountants.

The Colorado Front Range (Greater Denver) Chapter is a diverse chapter including members representing finance and IT professions in hotels, resorts, clubs, and corporate management, as well as educators and hospitality industry supplier members.

The Chapter meets on the last Wednesday or Thursday of each month, with educational speakers from various specialty fields as well as motivational topics. The educational meetings are announced, and provided to comply with the standards set forth by the NASBA to qualify for CPE credits to assist members maintain their professional designations such as CPA, CHAE, and CHTP. The chapter also plans a number of social events including baseball and golf outings and wine tasting.
