~ The Benefit ~

At Camp Oasis, we provide a sanctuary where kids with Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis can have the time of their lives. Because all the campers (and most of the adults) have IBD, kids leave their disease behind and focus on what they can do, instead of what they can’t. Campers team up for challenging activities and do things they might not have thought possible. They share familiar stories and make friends that can last a lifetime.

Camp Oasis provides an exciting program and high standards of care. Group and individual activities help kids return home with the confidence to set goals and try new things, expanding their day-to-day lives. But the schedule also allows for plenty of time for campers to relax, get to know one another, and share the best medicine of all: laughter.

What Parents Have to Say

"Our son said that this was the best experience
of his life and that we needed to plan
next summer's vacation around it."

"When she came home, she realized she was not the only one with IBD, and began to live her life again."

"This is the highlight of their summer. They love the new
and old friendships they make. And they know they
aren't the only ones with this debilitating disease."

"Jeremy was very, very moved by the experience
and can't wait to go back next year."

"Becky loved camp! She tried so many new
things (not all easy but fun!) and met a bunch
of new friends. She can't wait until next year!"

"He feels a part of something (this great group of kids),
understands that he can be whatever he wants, and
knows that he is not the only one suffering."
